PRIMERA ETAPA!!

La iniciativa de la Fundación Jorge Lara Restrepo, «ESCALERAS DE ESPERANZA: Pintando la Reconciliación«, invita a utilizar el arte como un medio para instalar la esperanza y la unidad, estableciendo la paz y la reconciliación. Esta acción no solo potenciará el entorno cultural del barrio, sino que también impulsará micronegocios en las terrazas de algunas casas, en una comunidad que ha enfrentado desafíos significativos. En esta primera fase, se beneficiarán aproximadamente 700 personas del sector ‘Pablo Escobar’ del barrio Loretto, Comuna 9 de Medellín, mejorando su calidad de vida mediante la revitalización de 400 escalones. We were warmly welcomed by Wberney Zabala Miranda, the president of the community action board Medellín sin tugurios, Loretto neighborhood, Escobar sector in commune 9, along with our ally, the organization TECHO COLOMBIA. His leadership, collaborative spirit, and dedication to his community have been instrumental in the transformation process that we are undertaking.
Nuestro objetivo es construir la Casa Cultural y Centro Social Rodrigo Lara Bonilla, que ofrecerá espacios de calidad donde los niños y demás habitantes de la comunidad local podrán jugar y disfrutar en un entorno seguro y propicio que estimule la imaginación, la felicidad y la creatividad, y contribuir así a un futuro mejor para ellos y sus familias.

We celebrate the Day of Forgiveness, Reconciliation, and Peace in Commune 9, Escobar sector of Medellin. This mural perpetuates the historical memory and vindicates the pain and greatness of the victims of violence in Colombia. Its protagonists are Minister of Justice Rodrigo Lara Bonilla, his son Jorge Andrés Lara Restrepo, Juan Pablo Escobar Henao, and the Children Dreamers of Peace.

LA TEORIA DEL COLOR COMO INSTRUMENTO DE PERDÓN, RECONCILIACIÓN Y PAZ, dirigido por el artista Zatelite, con los niños del barrio Loretto, sector Escobar de la comuna 9 de Medellín, es una forma de unir y alinear la comunidad con los objetivos de fundación Jorge Lara Restrepo estrechando lazos para que entre todos logremos cambios positivos en el barrio, a través del arte y la cultura. #pazyreconciliación

Despite the physical limitations of the space and scarce resources available, they have managed to cultivate a love for sports, recognizing its ability to save lives. When Jorge Lara arrived in the neighborhood, he was immediately concerned with building a soccer field and a dignified and safe meeting space for young people and the community in general. And that's how the project was born!RODRIGO LARA BONILLA CULTURAL AND SOCIAL CENTER´´ that will be built there.
Our initiative is not just about providing school supplies. We also want to help the community develop in a comprehensive way. We spent the afternoon together in a friendly and supportive atmosphere, highlighting the importance of unity in overcoming challenges.
We really appreciate our young volunteers. Thank you for your leadership and support of the noble causes of the foundation. To our donors, thank you so much for your generosity!
ENTREGA DE KITS ESCOLARES

This is how we experienced our visit to Medellin. Our mission was to purchase and deliver school kits to some children in the Loretto neighborhood, Escobar sector. We had a fantastic time playing sports, bonding with the community, and fostering a sense of togetherness. We would like to give a special shoutout to Francisco Gonzalez, the soccer coach who leads the sports club and is a true leader in the neighborhood. Camisas Blancas, His commitment goes beyond the borders of thousands of soccer fields. Together with his community, he has adapted a space called a 'cancha', where children can play and participate in recreational activities.
