This project was originally spearheaded by Jorge Andrés Lara Restrepo, who dedicated himself to its development until his death on March 9, 2022, in Paris, France. In light of this sad event, we honor his memory, as his legacy continues to inspire us to build a more just, dignified, and supportive world.

To achieve this goal, we work in a coordinated and determined manner with various groups and sectors of society, aiming to implement sustainable and equitable development of the territories through the initiation of collective projects that strengthen the social fabric and the execution of concrete and lasting actions that benefit all communities.

PROJECTS

Our goal is to promote inclusive and sustainable development by strengthening social integration and revitalizing skills within the community.

JORGE LARA RESTREPO

Born in Neiva, Huila, Colombia, had a diverse background as an audiovisual producer, business administrator, lecturer, activist, and promoter of social causes. After a long and traumatic exile caused by the assassination of his father, Rodrigo Lara Bonilla, by the Medellín cartel in 1984, he decided to return to Colombia in 2011. Over time, he overcame his fears and chose to experience Colombia's complex and painful reality firsthand, immersing himself in the most marginalized territories, living with various communities across the country, and collaborating closely with different United Nations agencies, such as the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

Jorge Andrés tirelessly fought to transform his country and the world. He traveled across Colombia to listen to the needs of the less fortunate. Inspired by his father, Rodrigo Lara Bonilla, who was also a model of courage and social commitment, Jorge demonstrated his values through his thoughts, feelings, and actions amidst Colombia's complex social and political reality. His attentive and concerned gaze focused on human suffering, dedicating himself with genuine love to building a just, inclusive, peaceful, and violence-free society, concentrating on the most vulnerable.
